Marc started surfing in the summer of 1965 when they called it just “Surfing”, there were no leashes, no shortboards or bodyboards. Wetsuits and surfboards were found mostly at the Dive Shops where you went to buy your board. A lot has evolved since then, as he has just completed his 40th summer surfing and has been part way around the world experiencing “The Endless Summer."
Marc was recently appointed the Eastern Surfing Association Competition Director in Massachusetts for ESA's Southern New England district. He has teamed up with seasoned veterans and Co-Directors and will be responsible to run all of the competition in Massachusetts.
He has also greatly added value to the expanded schedule and teamed up with different local Surf Shops and manufacturers for the events, to add energy, prizes and loot to the trophies.
Marc's name is not new to many on the Cape or on the competition scene as he is one of Southern New England's top ESA competitors. He is a 20 year plus veteran of the Ski, Snowboard, and Surf Industry pioneering, promoting and selling for major industry manufacturers throughout New England. Marc consistently competed to earn 1st place in both his Longboard and Shortboard divisions and finished as Southern New Englands ESA Champion for the 2004 season.
Marc is also actively involved in the Surfrider
Foundation and Snowrider Project, and has started up an affiliate
chapter on the Cape. He brings there message with him, to all
of the events, throughout the year, where ever he is.
Marc really prioritizes his time selling Real Estate throughout
Cape Cod & the Islands and has earned a position in the
top 5% of Realtors Cape wide. He has high energy and is frequently
found at one of his favorite surf spots along Cape Cod's shoreline.
He is currently sponsored by Billabong Wetsuits,
Destination Surf accessories, Freestyle Watches, Ocean Minded
footwear, Smith Sport Optics, Future Fins and Surftech Surfboards.
